Katie holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, specialising in typography and branding, and brings 25 years of professional design experience to her embroidery practice. She went on to establish her own business, creating commissioned pet portraits for clients around the world, alongside a collection of wildlife art prints and greetings cards stocked by selected retailers across the UK.
Katie is currently in her third year of the Professional Embroidery Tutor Programme at the Royal School of Needlework (RSN), based at Hampton Court Palace. She also holds a Level 3 Award in Education and Training and has taught embroidery for the RSN at the Knit & Stitch Show, the Stitch Festival and Hampton Court Palace.
Her work 'Into the Blue' will be exhibited as part of Fragile Threads at Bankside Gallery in spring 2027.
