About
Katie has a BA (hons) degree in graphic design specialising in typography and branding; she had a happy 25 year career; then went on to run her own business successfully creating pet portraits on commission from clients around the world, along with designing greeting cards and wildlife art prints which were stocked in selected stores in the UK.

Katie is studying in her second year at The Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace. She has taught the Learning Curve classes for the RSN at the Knitting and Stitching Show, The Stitch Festival and at The Feel Good Festival at Hampton Court in 2024 and 2025.

In addition she has exhibited her ‘Allotment Shallot’ as part of the RSN display at the 2025 Knitting and Stitching Show.

With her family, Katie has enjoyed extended stays in Park City, Utah over the years. She is drawn to the rural landscape of American West; typography on old trucks, shops and diners, ranch life and the stunning wildlife which is often in the neighbourhood.
