Working across hand embroidery, painting and drawing, Katie creates contemporary award-winning art inspired by nature, place, colour and emotion.
Katie's work explores the ways these elements can evoke memory, connection and a sense of wellbeing.
Her hand-embroidery work combines traditional techniques with a contemporary feel, drawing on her background in graphic design and her professional training at the Royal School of Needlework.
Alongside hand embroidery, her painting and drawing practice offers a more spontaneous and expressive exploration of the same themes, allowing each medium its own distinctive visual language.
