Katie Bell is an award-winning artist, hand embroiderer and designer, working across embroidery, painting and drawing. Her work is inspired by nature, place, colour and emotion, exploring the ways these elements can evoke memory, connection and a sense of wellbeing.
Her hand-embroidered work combines traditional techniques with a contemporary design sensibility, drawing on her background in graphic design and her professional training at the Royal School of Needlework. Alongside embroidery, her painting and drawing practice offers a more spontaneous and expressive exploration of the same themes, allowing each medium its own distinctive visual language.
